Pastor Von Herbert was born in San Roque, Zamboanga City Philippines. Right from a young age, the young Von Herbert had an innate desire to serve God. He start attending Church and in a Godly environment. With God-gifted music abilities, both in singing and playing instruments, he began serving the Lord through participating in all of the Church activities, especially in the Youth ministry.

God opened the doors for Pastor Von Herbert to pursue theological studies at the opportune time. He graduated with a Diploma in Christian Ministry from Kabasalan Zamboaga Sibugay,King Jesus Bible College (KJBC) He returned back to homeland and church with a zeal to preach the word of God, and thereby touching the lives of many.

Pastor Von Herbert has a special burden for the youth and shapes minds through imparting Godly wisdom. He connects with youngsters and enables them to channelize their talents for the glory of God and becoming witnesses for Christ.

Pastor Von Herbert serves the Lord as a family. He is married to Shilohmei and is blessed with two kids, Abby Grace and Matt Jared. Mrs. Shilohmei Salimbagat had a calling for ministry even during her school days and shares the same zeal for God with Pastor Von and assisting him in his ministry, Shilohmei takes care of teaching, discipling, counselling, and general administration of the ministry.

Pastor Von Herbert was a part of the Jesus People movement in the past few years and was sent out after he graduated in Bible School to lead a Bible study in Surigao City, when he was 20 years old. This Bible study soon outgrew the facility it was meeting in and became a church when it moved to its current location on Surigao City

Today, God continues to work through the church here in Surigao city. "Looking back," says Pastor Von, "I can see God's hand at work from the very beginning. It has always been a part of God's plan for us to know Him and make Him known. I encourage you to do the same."

Pastor Von Herbert and Shilohmei are some of today’s most gifted communicators with a compelling and creative teaching style that connects people with the life-changing principles of the Bible.

Von Herbert believes that church should be engaging and relevant, calling it “The Best Hour of Your Week.” He strives to eliminate the barriers of boredom, unfriendliness and fear that keeps people from experiencing a relationship with Jesus Christ.
